Orientation The Ulbrich Boys & Girls Club is a non-profit afterschool, social, and recreational youth development program. We are not a daycare center or baby sitting service. We do not give one on one child needs. Children should be mature enough to work in a group orientated program and responsible enough to follow rules. We expect all members to follow the rules or they will not be able to use the program . Membership Children must be six (6) years old to participate in the Boys & Girls Club afterschool programs. Our yearly membership fee is $30.00. This fee includes our afterschool program, gym activities, crafts, computers, as well as our evening programs. All school vacation week are included in this yearly membership fee. Hours of Operation Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 2:30 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. Thursday 2:30 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. Friday 2:30 p.m. - 8:45 p.m.
School Vacation Weeks We are open 8:00- 5:00 p.m. to all Boys & Girls members. We are open also on certain holidays listed below. TBA School Vacation – December
School Vacation Week – April School Vacation Week – Holidays we are open – Health/ Emergency Procedures It is important that everyone cooperate fully with health and emergency procedures. The following information is intended to protect the well-being of all members.
Medicine Prescription and non-prescription medicine WILL NOT be administered by any Club staff at any time. Personal Belongings Members are not allowed to bring radios, hand-held video games, compact disc players, cell phones, or any other electronic devices. The Ulbrich Boys & Girls club is not responsible for any personal belongings that are lost or stolen at the Club. Please encourage your child (ren) to follow this request.
Power Hour – Homework Power hour is mandatory for All Elementary and Middle School Members. This program is available Monday – Thursday between the hours of 2:45 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. All members are encouraged to bring in their homework for individual assistance or tutoring if needed. Computer Room All members are allowed to use the computers for educational purposes. Each computer has Internet access and staff assistance is always available. There is no food or drink allowed in the computer room. All compact disc’s should be put away in the proper case for that computer. There is Absolutely No Downloading !! Telephone Use Our telephone should be used for emergency use only. However, under certain circumstances children will be allowed to call parents. There are to be no personal phone calls to friends - Make plans with friends the night before. Bathrooms Bathrooms are not a hang out area. Go in, flush the toilet, do not put anything in the toilet that does not belong there. Please do not stand on the toilet seats.
Fifteen passenger vans are notoriously dangerous to drive in bad weather, and the safety of the children is always our primary concern, therefore: 1. When your child’s school closes early because of bad weather, there will be no van service to the Boys & Girls Club. Snow Days On snow days when school is cancelled, the staff will try to open the club as early as possible, but please call before sending your child. (# 269-7535).
